Our Story

Built on Craft, Not Shortcuts

Tom Ashgrove started as a framer, not a businessman — and it shows. Twenty years ago he got tired of watching good projects get ruined by rushed subs and vague bids, so he started a company that does the opposite: fewer jobs at once, clearer pricing, and crews who are still standing behind their work years later.

We still price every job by trade — concrete, framing, roofing — so you see exactly where your money goes instead of one vague lump sum. It's slower to quote. It's a lot easier to trust.

Today Ashgrove is a small team of licensed carpenters, concrete finishers, and roofers who'd rather turn down a job than cut a corner on one they've already taken.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a home addition or remodel cost?
Every home and scope is different, so we don't publish flat rates — but every estimate is itemized by trade (concrete, framing, roofing, finishes) so you can see exactly where the money goes instead of one vague lump sum. The free estimate is the fastest way to get real numbers for your project.
How long does a typical project take?
A kitchen or bath remodel typically runs 3–6 weeks once materials arrive. Additions and new builds usually run 8–16 weeks depending on permitting and scope. You'll get a written timeline before work starts, and we flag delays as soon as we see them — not after.
Will new concrete or additions crack or settle over time?
All concrete develops hairline cracks eventually — the question is whether it's engineered to control where that happens. We use proper base prep, reinforcement, and control joints on every pour, and every foundation is built to local code for our soil conditions. Workmanship issues are covered in writing.
What maintenance does new work require?
Very little. Concrete work benefits from resealing every 2–3 years, roofing should get a visual inspection annually, and we'll walk you through simple care specific to your project at the final walkthrough — nothing complicated.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — we work with a few financing partners for larger projects like additions and full remodels. Ask about options when you request your estimate and we'll walk you through what's available.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the greater Portland metro area, including Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, and surrounding communities. Not sure if you're in range? Send us your address with your estimate request and we'll confirm right away.
